My teaching experience during this semester was wonderful and one of the best experiences that I've had in my life, but at the beginning of this semester, It wasn't like that, in fact I was worried about how it would be my experiences as teacher because I didn't have the opportunity before of knowing how is being a teacher , but I realized that throughout the time was passing, I learned to make a better job and improving my teaching, I learned a lot of thing about teaching like to make lesson plans with presentation and what I could use as a presentation, for example I used readings, listenings, in particular one strategy that helped me a lot was the use of songs because students like and pay much attention, how explain the grammar, for example I consider that for teaching grammar is better to present a lot of examples or use other interesting strategies than explain the structures because students get bored with that, also I learned what kind of warm up or activities I could use in my classes, etc. One thing that helped me a lot was the feedback because I realized what were my errors and how to improve that, not less important, write my practices in the blog allowed me to noticed many things and how I had improve in every class, because every class was better than the last one and I tried not to commit more mistakes the next class; in fact I learned a lot of things. Something important was that I was nervous at the beginning, but at the end I´m completely another person, now I feel that I have became in a real teacher and that I´m not the same than before. Maybe I have been a shy person and that makes me to pass many difficult situations and even I didn't have confidence with teachers, but now I have improve that a lot of.
Throughout this experience, I noticed that even I didn't have difficulties to create my classes, I spent less time than before when I started to teach. I strongly believe that it was because through the experience of preparing and preparing my classes, at the end I learned many things, how to use the most appropriate activities, for what level, for what ages, for what kind of students, what kind of attitudes by applying different strategies o develop the macro skills between other things. In brief, I Created my classes very quickly and with more efficiency.
My favorite experience was in English Access, I passed all the semester thinking about how much I wanted to develop my teaching practice there, and I thought that I never was going to work with these guys, but fortunately, I had the opportunity to go there and introduce myself with my tutor the teacher Marcela. Then, I started to go to the observations, I really liked how these children worked, specially, my group because they were very active and enthusiastic and they like to participate a lot in all the activities, but when someone was in front of them, they respect him. In fact , I really enjoyed this group these children were great students. I will miss all of them and I will remember even their names as they will remember. I hope to leave good impression of me and how I worked and how I develop my classes. Also, I found my own style as teacher, that was something that I wanted to achieve during this time and fortunately I achieved.
In addition, I learned how to manage the time, that was something that was a challenge for me at the beginning, but then I learned to be more careful with the time. I have learned that even teachers we can learn from the students.
Being a teacher is one of the most beautiful but difficult jobs, because a teacher has to have a lot of roles in other to be very useful in their student´s learning. Even if he or she feels bad, he had to develop the class as well.
Also, I have learned from my video, for example that even I had problems the two times that I recorded the video, I never gave up, I tried to present pictures and short videos in order not only to be responsible, but also to realize me that I like to teach and that´s something that I though that I didn't feel but now at the end of this pri¿oyect I can say that teaching is one of the best experiences that anybody could have in a job.
As teachers, we know that we have to be updated with teaching process becauses is something that change during the time and that allows to be better teachers for the new generation of students, that´s why teachers have to be constantly updated, learning etc. all of these things allowed me to grow as teacher.
I have learned that as teachers we are inspirations for other, models to follow and for that we have to do the best of us ALWAYS, we leave we leave a footprint on the students´ life. I am grateful for this experience !!!!!
